Spring 2018 Prayer Letter

“For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.” (Song of Solomon 2:11-12)

As winter turns to spring here in Alabama, we are enjoying the beautiful daffodils and the white blossoms of the Bradford pear trees.  Hearing the birds sing and seeing all the wonders of nature being re-awakened reminds us of the new life we have in Christ as we celebrate His resurrection in this Easter season.

At this point, we would like to share a brief update of our ministry.  The past couple of months were filled with travels as we participated in three mission conferences. We praise the Lord for these opportunities to share our ministry and the Great Commission, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…” (Matthew 28:19) We enjoyed challenging everyone to remember that we are all called to obey Jesus’s Great Commission, whether through praying, giving, or going. There are still 3 billion people who need to hear the Gospel of Jesus.

David has been busy lately working with FEBC’s technician in Mongolia to resolve technical issues with their transmitters in Ulaanbaatar and Huvsgul. The transmitter in Huvsgul is now working properly.  Please pray that the issues with the Ulaanbaatar transmitter can also be diagnosed and resolved soon.

UPCOMING TRIP TO ASIA

We will be traveling to Cambodia, Hong Kong, and the Philippines, Lord willing, from March 28-April 23. In Cambodia, David plans to join our engineering team in giving amateur radio licensing tests to instructors and students at the National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia (NPIC). In Hong Kong, our FEBC International Council will hold its annual planning meetings.  And in the Philippines, David will be visiting the shortwave transmitter sites in Bocaue and Ibato help the team with transmitter operations and maintenance.  He will also be training staff members in FM coverage studies.

LISTENER LETTERS:

“I have been listening to your program for a year…then last November, I went to the listeners meeting…in that day, I made the most important decision in my life, I received Jesus as my Savior.” (Listener from Mongolia)

“Because of my family, I cannot attend church. But with today’s technologies, I have access to you through apps on my mobile phone. Now I know why everyone is saying that God is the only true and living God!” (Listener from China)

PRAISE & PRAYER

  • FEBC Kyrgyzstan will soon open a fourth station in the city of Talas.
  • 500 Galcom solar-powered pre-tuned radios ordered for Heartline Bali were recently released from customs and are ready to be distributed.
  • Praise the Lord for successful kidney transplant surgery for FEBCambodia Director, Sopheary Hem.
  • Pray for safety, protection, and good health during our upcoming travel to Asia.
  • Pray for fruitful IC meetings in Hong Kong.

In closing, we would like to thank you for your partnership in our ministry. Late last year, our ministry account was in the red. But by the end of 2017, praise the Lord, we were back in the black! We thank the Lord for your faithful support, and we especially want to thank those who responded to our special year-end appeal. Thanks again, and may the Lord bless you in this Easter season.  Jesus is risen!  He is risen indeed!

In Christ,

David & Vicki Creel

How Can I ?

How can I thank you my Lord?

How can I thank you my Lord?

Words are not enough

To say how grateful I am to you

My King and Lord

For all you’ve done to me

For your grace and mercy

Jesus how can I

How can I bring those blood offerings

Animal sacrifices I do not even

Know how to bring.

Jesus you made a way

At the cross You became my sin offering;

A once-and for all offering;

The lamb that was slain.

Jesus you bore the guilt

My finite being could not even comprehend

That you did it all

Just for a sinner like me,

Jesus You did it all

You did it all just for me!

How can I thank You?

How can I thank You?

How can I thank You, My Lord?
